How does airbackup encrypt my data?

Your data is encrypted on your device using your own private encryption key and AES-256 Bit client-side end-to-end encryption. Every communication between airbackup and the file servers – including sending and receiving data – for backup and restore purpose is encrypted via 128-Bit SSL encryption.

This provides you with the highest security standards and is considered completely safe by today's standards. The private encryption key also guarantees that nobody besides you can read your data, because no one but you knows your private key – not even the airbackup team.
